Buying from eBay

Posted by  in January 5th 2009

Ebay - Pos Ekspres

Day to day, eBay has growth to be the biggest online auction site. eBay can be accessed and offered the product from all over the world. A part from ebay.com there are many ebay site targetted for regional customer such as ebay UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore and also Malaysia.

In the previous post I write about my first transaction in eBay Malaysia. In eBay Malaysia many seller only accept payment using local bank. They preferred buyer to use online transaction or cash deposit. The use of Paypal as a payment method by the seller is still in a small scale. My first transaction using Paypal in eBay also end up that the product is a scam. Like I said before, it was an experience using eBay.

Few weeks ago I receive my first item bought from the local buyer. Local mailing service like Pos Ekspres is very much their choice as it still affordable and also reliable. After this will shop again in eBay. I also want to try Malaysian online auction site like lelong.com. Hopefully it brings a good experience and support Malaysian online market.

Scam in eBay

Posted by  in December 22nd 2008

Last week, I am looking for an item that cost me less than RM2 in eBay Malaysia. Using Advanced Search, I put “ebay” keyword in the search box and ask the search feature to show only items less than RM2.

I found an e-book which only cost me US 0.50 / RM 1.73 with free postage charge. The seller is from Thailand and has many positive feedbacks; around 60 positive feedbacks. I ran through read those feedbacks and they rate the seller as positive and very good. I also read carefully the product description, the salesletter is good, and it says the product is in the CD. Furthermore the seller uses Paypal as payment method. First time I bid, I was outbid and then I try again for the second time. I won the item for US 0.50. I pay thru Paypal with no hassle.

This morning I received the e-book thru email. I suspect something is not right, I open the zipped file and the e-book received is not as being described. I try to contact the seller and eBay said the seller is no longer registered with them. I try to search item with similar seller, and similar item; it does no longer exist. Maybe eBay has got them and suspend their account. OK fine, it’s just a matter of US 0.50 and it’s an experience using eBay. For new user, always be careful when doing transaction. For me, it’s valuable experience.

First transaction in eBay

Posted by  in December 17th 2008

Last night I have won bidding an item in eBay. It’s only a stamp that cost me RM5 including the postage charge. In eBay definitely you can find what you want in cheap and reasonable price. This experience is valuable as I need to know how buying and selling process done in eBay. That’s a lot more I need to find into. So, my opinion how to well verse with eBay is to experience it by your self. I going to find what I want in the cheap price, make the bid, settle a payment and leave feedback.

FEEDBACK SYSTEM IS COOL
One thing that I like about eBay is the feedback system. This is the approach where buyer and seller got the rating given by the member in eBay after each transaction done. Buyer and seller will have their own reputation. The feedback system will make transaction made in confident and secured environment.

I still haven’t received the item at the moment. But I will put the picture soon.

Why Do You Want To Be An Entrepreneur?

Posted by  in December 5th 2008

Most of the discussions start with the question, “How can you be an entrepreneur?” and “What should be done to be a successful entrepreneur?” but the first question that must be dealt with is “Why do you want to be an entrepreneur?” Do you really want to be an entrepreneur? This is the first question that must be asked by anyone and everyone before thinking of starting any business venture? This is the moot question. And yes, first of all you would have to understand who is an entrepreneur? What is entrepreneurship per se?

The word entrepreneur comes from Latin. Entre-enter; pre-before; neur-nerve center. Taking its derivation we could understand entrepreneur as someone who enters the nerve center of a business that no one entered before and then makes changes to it that results in a paradigm shift in the whole process. An entrepreneur is the one who is willing to take risk in any business endeavor. Entrepreneurship is the art of finding an opportunity and then pursuing it to success. As a saying goes “brilliant people also see the same things that others do but they observe things that others don’t.” It is the same with entrepreneurs also. They come out with ideas that others don’t think about and that is why they become successful.

Another term which has found a lot of popularity in recent time is a technopreneur. Well, a technopreneur could be understood as an entrepreneur in a business related to technology. It is generally seen that a technopreneur generally has some kind of proprietary and patentable intellectual property rights that he commercializes and reaps benefits out of it. Technopreneurship is a term which is generally used for software companies.

Now let’s talk about our earlier question. Why entrepreneurship? Why are you thinking of being an entrepreneur? Do you really want to be an entrepreneur or is there some kind of compulsion to be an entrepreneur? Is it because you don’t have any job or you currently find yourself out of job? There are many who get into the field because that is what his father and forefathers have been doing. Well, after all, it is their family business. And there is another category that interests me the most. It is the one where people claim that they want to be entrepreneurs for the very simple reason that they want to be entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship is in their blood.

It is for you to ask yourself. Why do you want to be an entrepreneur? I would like to tell you one thing. Entrepreneurship can really prove very rewarding but and this is a very big but, it is very risky and not easy. Until and unless you are ready to slug it out till the end, the chances of success are very limited. If you are fed up with you daily office routine and want to try your hands in entrepreneurship, let me tell you that the time you would have to spend for your own company would be far more. The effort that you would have to make would be far greater than what you have been making. There has never been any short cut to success and there would never be any. But yes, when you really become successful, the rewards compensate for everything.

The avenues open are many but you would have to make appropriate choices. The present time offers you opportunities where you can earn money and make a mark for yourself without actually investing too much of capital. Yes, we are in the age of “MiniPreneurs” where anyone and everyone can start a business of their own

The Pros and Cons of eBay

Posted by  in December 5th 2008

As effective as eBay is, it has its pro’s and con’s. In today’s world, people find e-commerce extremely helpful. With busy schedules and tons of work to accomplish in less than 24hrs, almost everyone prefers buying online. Hence eBay is extremely popular with the masses. Just the fact that one can buy stuff without moving a muscle is exhilarating. eBay is the most renowned online buying sites.

Like any other site or online buying site, eBay has its own advantages and disadvantages. One has should keep this in mind while ordering online.

LET US BEGIN WITH THE ADVANTAGES:

It is nothing but a simple process and is extremely easy. Your shopping spree is always only a few clicks away.

eBay offers you a large variety of products to choose from.

eBay is fun and very entertaining. You have the most unusual items to choose from. The graphics are neat and extremely colorful. The weird listings and the quirky listings, you will find are quite entertaining as well. If you are interested in any sort of unusual product you can normally find it here.

eBay educates on the prices of various products in the market at the current time. You can learn the price of any product at any given time online. Ebay lets you know what people are willing to pay for a given product in real time.

Surprisingly enough, eBay most often than not refunds their customers, should anything go wrong with the product. Most of the sellers have return policy’s that they follow. Be sure to check out the seller’s feedback to determine if they do what they say they are going to do in their listing.

NOW LET US LOOK AT REASONS WHY EBAY IS NOT A VERY GOOD OPTION:

You cannot be sure of the quality of the product you are buying. Almost all sellers will claim that their product is in excellent condition, on delivery you will find that your product is not exactly in good condition; scratches cannot often be seen in pictures.

When you buy a product online, it is usually mailed to you. You cannot be guaranteed that the product will not get damaged when mailed. Very often, the delivery is extremely expensive and you spend a whole lot of money on it. Especially if you are in a different country from the buyer, you will need to pay international charges that are just all too expensive. Be sure to get the item insured by the seller when ever possible.

Buying online steals you of the time at the mall and the cups of coffee with your friends. Though buying on eBay is not time consuming, it isn’t as much fun as your time at the mall. Somehow at the mall, you bump into friends, get to see and touch the products you want and just enjoy an evening out, whereas you can’t do the same with eBay.

On the net, you can never be too careful of frauds. You almost have no idea what to expect. It calls for you to trust a perfect stranger. Always check the sellers feedback and ask questions to ensure that your sales transaction is fair for both parties.

When selling products for a profit on eBay it can be very difficult to find products that you can profit with unless you use a membership based company to find wholesale products like The North American Wholesale Co-op Association (nawca.org).

You will find that you get hooked onto it. Soon enough, you will be buying almost everything online.

16 REASON WHY BUSINESS FAIL
Everyone will demand success in their business but failure will always be there. Almost 90% of business started ended with failure. Below is the reason why, and make sure do not follow the steps of failure.

1. No Target
There is no clear target of what your business will achieve. Is it 1 year from now? Is it 3 years from now? Is it 5 years from now? Is it 10 years from now? Clear target will help to drive your business. Without a clear target, the business will have no motivation to grow.

2. No to “Customer is always right”
Customer is asset to any business. Business is to fulfill customer needs. Customer is a KING!

3. No t promoting sells
Profits come from the sells made. It’s very rare sells to come automatically. Entrepreneurs/businessman should ready to drive the sell.

4. No patience
Many people think that is easy to become rich. To be entrepreneurs is to be patience. Profit must be expected in long term period and not to have maximum profit in short period.

5. Fail to put priority
20% of effort will bring 80% of profit. For those who fail to put priority to focus 80% which will bring 20% profit. Disseminate task to get more time to focus on 20% effort and bring 80% of profit.

6. Do thing out of your interest
The best thing is, doing business which is related to interest. So, it will motivate you all the time.

7. Product or service not competitive
Nowadays competitive levels in business become very high. Business must be unique, in the niche market, cheaper or faster than the competitor.

8. Product not fulfill customers’ need
There must be products to sell to start a business. But it must suit customers’ need.

9. No quality in product and customer service
Quality product and customer service are two important things in business today. Competitive level is high and customers have many choices. So, the choice is in the quality of product and customer service.

10. Fail to identify customer
Do you know your customer? Do you know in what community they live in? How can you reach them? The strategy is to identify the niche market. Hence it is easy to get the sell.

11. Fail in financial management
Get to know your business financial management. Ensure each transaction recorded; even the small thing you buy. Be smart to spend for business. There is a risk in business but the good thing is you make risk analysis.

12. Fail to follow trend and market
Trend and market grow significantly with time. Last time walkman is very popular, now it’s MP3! Entrepreneurs/businessman should aware of the market trends.

13. High overhead cost
Almost every time overhead cost will reduce the profit. Ensure overhead cost is at minimum level.

14. No strategic planning
No plan for your business mean you plan to fail. Plan your marketing strategi to get more customer and ready to expand your business.

15. Plan without action
Planning is just a first step. Plan without action will not give any resutl. Anything that has been planned must be implemented. Failure is an experience that teach you to change your plan. Failure is a GURU!

16. Fail to communicate with co-workers
Good relationship with workers will ensure the motivation among themselves. So they will be more motivated to work harder.

Spam oleh Irfan Khairi!!!

Posted by  in November 19th 2008

mempromosikan program reseller ala-ala mencari downline.

(mungkin anda pernah terkena!)
* membuat pelaburan yang jelas merugikan (seperti beli rumah
untuk disewa di kawasan tiada permintaan)
* tertipu dengan program-program Inetrnet atau dikenali sebagai
SCAM

Formula ini berbunyi: NO SCAM!

N-O S-C-A-M

N bermaksud: NAME.

O bermaksud: OVER PROMISE.

OVER PROMISE.

A bermaksud: ASK.

Tanya orang ramai.

M bermaksud: MAKE SURE!

Adakah anda melakukan segalanya sebelum
terkena SCAM tersebut?

* N - NAME
* O - OVER PROMISE
* S - SEARCH
* C - CONTACT
* A - ASK
* M - MAKE SURE!
